Journey of Stones

Throughout Scripture, stones tell a story. They mark sacred places and moments of decision. They build altars, strike water from the rock, seal tombs, and sometimes become stumbling blocks. Stones can be heavy, symbols of sin, judgment, or grief. But they can also become testimonies of God’s faithfulness and signs of new life. This Lent, we invite you to Journey of Stones, a spiritual pilgrimage that leads us from the weight we carry to the joy of resurrection. Together, we will explore how God meets us in the wilderness, at the cross, and beyond the empty tomb, transforming what once weighed us down into the foundation of new life in Christ, the cornerstone of our faith. Each week as you enter the sanctuary, you will be invited to pick up a stone as a tangible symbol of the day’s theme. As the message concludes, you’ll be invited to bring your stone forward and place it at the foot of the cross. These stones, gathered together, will represent what we are laying down during this holy season. Come and discover how God can use even the heaviest stones to build something new.
